Well, I've tried all week to capture some pictures of just how many hummers we have in the evening, but they are so very territorial, that they run each other off the feeders.
They like to scope out the feeders from the very top of the pine tree,
the swoop down and chase everyone else off!
The last call for the evening!

what awesome pics..I just love hummers, so cute;)
I'm so excited for you; that you were able to capture these precious little creatures! I didn't realize that they rested in the trees, either. You've taught me something I never knew today, Lisa :)
Thank you.
What amazing shots! I have the exact same hummingbird feeder (the red one). I love watching birds they make me happy. Have a nice Sunday.
Good job catching humming birds! That seems as difficult a job as trying to catch a shot of lightning!
Hummingbirds are so wonderful to watch. Love the photos, especially the ones in flight:)
Those are some great shots! They are soooo hard to photograph.
I am so thrilled to see those. I just wish that I could have seen them in real life.
What great photos. I know how hard it is to capture hummingbird photos. I am new to posting to your Blog and love it and your slideshow.
You did a great job. I counted 4 in one shot, 3 in another. That's amazing. It's hard enough just to get one.
My MIL had so many one year we literally had to duck going up her porch steps to stay out of the flight path!
