You're the Best!

I've been thinking alot lately about what is so great about blogging (and I do think it's great)!

Let's face it, we get to see places we've never seen, or may never see. We meet people who are from all different walks of life, where age, experience, financial status, or backround, simply doesn't matter.

I started my blog on July 19th of 2008. Just a little over a year ago. This will be my 299th post. Amazing. But what I find truly incredible is how we seem to find one another; people who want to share the best of who they are, and perhaps help someone else.

I have been encouraged, taught, my spirits lifted, reminded daily about what is really important, laughed out loud, cried through others' pain, and have been shown real friendship by people that I have never met.

I am blessed. Thank you. :)

So well put. I probably spend a bit too much time blogging, but it is my time and I love doing this. It makes me look at things a little closer, think about everyday blessings a bit more, and I find myself wondering what my blogging friends are up to! How else would I ever have enjoyed getting to know the virtual you! :)M

A lot of people seem to be getting sentimental on their blogs lately and totally understand. The blogging community is very large yet very close knit. I have met some wonderful people through blogging and am thankful for all my bloggy friends.

Marion, you're absolutely right, it makes us look more closely at everything around us! It's like looking into people's heads. I love it!

SA, that's so nice of you! Here's to ALL of us lifting spirits!!!

Septembermom! It is so very much about positivity! You're right! We all have the struggles of life, but we found each other anyway!

Sandy, do you think it's because we're all coming around to a year or so of blogging, and are appreciating what we've found? I, for one, cannot believe that a year has gone by and that I am so happy to "know" my friends here! When I think of "knowing" someone in my normal life for a year, I can't say that I "know" them any better than I know my blog friends. I probably recognize many things about people here that I don't, necessarily, in my own town. Yes, I love blogland! :)

I agree. Blogging is fun. It lifts the spirits. It enables new friendships. There are few limits to what we can achieve and learn if we want to.

I feel you sentiments exactly. I have been blogging for about 3 or 4 years now (formerly on aol blogs). I have met so many great people who have been become real good friends, I feel their pain when they are sad and am happy when life is going well. It is a great way to express yourself :)
