Tuesday

I'm reading a book right now called Belong to Me, by Marisa de los Santos. So far I'm finding it pretty funny and witty. I love a great sense of humor in a book!

I came across a line in it that I found really interesting: "I think there are certain people who change the way time moves." For some reason, that sentence grabbed me. What do you think? Is time really moving differently?

I know that I've at times felt like the sentence was true. Is that really what is happening? Is it because of how we respond to them? Is it because we are different when we're around those people?

I swear I can spend so much time thinking about such crazy things sometimes!

Oh, I think that is true. SO true. What a great line.

I don't think it's crazy. It is quite a concept though. I think it is quite possible that some people could change the way time moves for us as individuals.

I just ordered a new book-- that was the easy part. Reading it may be something else entirely. I read the first few pages of the last two books I bought and then put them aside.

Oh, me too...the thinking about crazy things. It is a must, must of processing and fitting ourselves together.

I like that quote from your book and I have felt that way before, for sure. For there are some moments when time seems so pleasantly slow and others when it could speed up a little, depending on the company :)

Tricia...sounds very famiiar. I get so frustrated with the inability to find a book that interests me enough to keep reading it (there really is only One that has kept my interest entirely)

Were I feeling in sarcastic mode I mght comment that there are a few people I know to whom the comment applies. Times become interminable when they are around!

I've read another book by her, Love Walks In..or something like that. It was filled with thought provoking lines too!

Not a crazy thought at all. There are powerful people as a whole that change the way time moves. But individual people in our lives also affect our time. Have you ever been with someone, having a good time, and looked at your watch and found out it was the wee hours of the morning, and you weren't a bit tired?

On the flip side, I have been around people for an hour and it seemed like days.

Of course, the quote in the book goes a little deeper, and could be the subject of a whole book in itself.
