Red Sky in the Morning

How's this for some drama at sunrise? Hubby got this one. The inside of the house was practically glowing. This is the beginning of the storm that most of the United States will be experiencing in the next 24 hours.

This little Cactus Wren is scurrying around looking for breakfast!

It's about 2 p.m. here now, and the wind is whipping something fierce! This little guy is hunkered down in a very protected spot, with a pretty good view of what's going on around him.

Spectacular sky! WOW, very impressive! We are getting hit with a lot of rain. It hasn't let up all day. Dark and dreary. Snow in the hills and mountains. It can stay there!

Yowsers! That's some sky. I'm glad I'm here and not in the path of that storm.

It is colddddd here. Gray and dreary, but no worries...I'm all "holed" up inside with my hot tea and Christmas projects.

Shabbygirl...did you get any snow from the storm? Beautiful pictures of the sunrise and also the critters!

Love the passion colors in that sky! Great photos. The bunny shot is really cute.

No. No snow. Crazy winds that blew down a cinder block wall. We seemed to be on the periphery of the system so all it really generated was wind and drizzle. :(

What a fantastic sky. And I love seeing the wildlife that other folk have in their gardens - the little Cactus Wren looks cute.
