Sunday Beauty

How lucky am I? This guy just fluttered by, stopped, flew off again, back around, several times. I got numerous photos and will share over the next few days.

Beautiful!!! I've still been teased by mine. Always fluttering around me when my camera is in the house...when in hand, he hides.

Really pretty! I just saw a bunch of beautiful butterflies at our zoo's butterfly garden! My daughter was so thrilled!

Lucky or just good at what you're doing? I still haven't managed to get one. Someday...

Beautiful shot.

Heather, I swear he was posing! Then fly over the wall, come back and pose again.

Kelly, I'll bet that was beautiful! The Desert Museum in Tucson has things like javalina & cotamundi...no butterflies.

Tricia, Thanks. I was just takin' Willy to potty...I was lucky that he was still there after going inside to get the camera and finding the chip.

I've been trying for years to get a Monarch to sit still for me but they usually dance round me and tease me. This is great.

What great luck! It is always difficult to get that perfect picture with their wings spread flat for viewing and you have done it just right!

That was great you could get a picture. They certainly don't hold still very long. I've been trying to get pics of the hummingbirds around here, but so far they are always blurry.

It is good to be home from our trip -- thanks for traveling along with us! I checked your blog routinely while we were away. It sounds like we have traveled some of the same paths. :) M
