Friday My Town Shootout

Trees. I love them. What would we do without them? I hope we never have to find out. This is the theme this week for FSO, brought to us by GingerV!

I think I'll take you up to Ramsey Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains, that our town sits up against. The short drive takes us past various mesquite trees that have been trimmed up to create a canopy. This particular variety of mesquite is just beautiful.

This next photo is pretty typical of the area. They're trees, but don't really give me that tree feeling.

But once you get up in the canyon, it is FULL OF TREES! Ash, sycamore, cottonwoods! It's where I go to refill myself.

Follow me on over here, to see some awesome tree photos!

Gorgeous mesquite.
How I do miss those desert canyons unexpectedly filled with luscious trees - cool, inviting, green!

They are beautiful. I too feel uplifted when having the chance to just look and think and feel their closeness to God. I love the photo with the vines twisted around the trunk. Blessings

Aren't we the lucky ones to live with trees.
Love the photos.

That tree hosting the vine is fabulous! Love the one above it, too!

Lovely trees!

The tree trunk latticed in vine was amazing. I know what you mean about trees, they have to have substance to really be trees.

I love trees too! I love to sit in the mountains as well and just listen. Close my eyes and just listen to the rustling of the trees as they speak to one another. Nice peaceful post!

That one of the bark is fab-u-lous!

That bark looks like alligator skin. I know what you mean by getting away to a tree-shaded place to renew yourself--I do that also.

Your trees there are really massive! here most trees in public place are pruned regularly to a manageable size, unless they are in the jungle.

The bark, looks like crocodile skin, and I like that tree like has all the twisted "foreigh: trees on it.

I love the first tree as if it is blowing in the wind...

My grandfather used to talk about having a farm in west Texas, and how mesquite was like sticker grass, no matter how you tried to remove it, so you could plant and grow grass for the cows, it was tenacious...

I love the ruggedness of your countryside especially that shot of the mountain. I also love trees and have posted many on my site, but the problem is that they get lost over time. Maybe I will create a Facebook album when I get the time one day
