Friday My Town Shootout

This week's theme is Bokeh, suggested by T, at Picture This. Check it out! I admit, I had to look the word up. Had no idea what it was. I think I have accidently produced bokeh photos, without really knowing what I was doing.

Okay, not great, but the backround is blurry, right? :)
I like this one; does it count?

Here's one. What do you think?

But, for me, this one is my favorite...

Not only did I learn something new this week, but I am so very excited to see what everyone has posted on this subject here!

Absolutely stunning!! The butterfly - which I assume is one of the many species of Swallowtail - is fantastic and the fact that it is slightly blurred on the wings just gives it a sense of motion rather than the still life of a picture in a book for identification!

PS I had no idea what 'bokeh' was either and I've been photographing since Adam were a lad (said, as it has to be, with a broad Lancashire accent)

These are simply stunning! easiest way to achieve bokeh is when you do macro shots.

Wait I like the bathroom 'staged', oh wait I am suppose to pay attention to your 'bokeh' theme, and that is fantastic too!

I like the 'staged' shot! love it!

The rose covered in dew is stunning and to have captured the butterfly at all is a near miracle.

Like you I've used bokeh before without knowing what I was doing. It is a wonderful effect.

Very nice pictures, I especially like the rose with the water drops and spiky pink flower... What is that thing?? haha I've never seen anything like it before :)

Great shots! They're all bokeh, especially your last one with the pink rose and the lit-up foliage: beautiful!

Wow! You really got it, didn't you? I love the white rose, it looks all the more delicate because of the dark background I think. Well done, you!

These close ups are stunning! The white rose is just beautiful.
I too knew nothing about Bokeh but this has been fun and I want to learn more.

Great bokeh choices. You came through like a champ. I was actually going to join in for the fist time in months; had my photos pulled from files two weeks ago, and then time got away. No excuse when I could have scheduled. Shame on me.

Love your flowers, too. Tis the season for beauty.

Happy Easter.
