FRIDAY SHOOTOUT

This week's theme, chosen by J9, is Power! To check out more Friday Shootout photos, or to join our gang, click here!

Water has the power to cut it's way through the earth.

Imagine the power it took to create the mountains!

Huge machinery, powerful enough to gouge this mining pit.

I love thinking about the power of this water to create and sustain life in the desert.

And then there is the power of absolute beauty. Power to move the senses, fill the mind, and restore our connection with our "Higher Power."

Now THAT'S my kind of power!!!

Oh, to be sitting near that waterfall, listening to the water drown out all other sounds and thought....
or maybe in the middle of that creek!
Beautiful! I would love to be there right now.

Just beautiful! Water is certainly one of the most powerful and wondrous things on this earth - but for it nothing would live here.

Love your take on the theme. The first shot is beautiful, and I can almost hear the water running. The mine shot is just mind blowing!

The power of nature is awesome. The power of beauty is awesome. Water in nature provides power and beauty and is awesome beyond words. Thank you for making that so much more obvious to me.
