This was taken yesterday from the top of an indian pueblo in Tuzigoot National Park. This is Verde Valley.
In this next photo, you can see the town of Jerome nestled into the mountain.

Wow...look at the colorful trees all bunched up in the first shot...golden. And the hill-mounds of sand in the second.
Two spectacular photos. That second one is amazing!
2 very lovely shots. The second one makes me miss the mountians!
the mountains are so pretty! wish I lived near them. you are very lucky.
Your pics are awesome... true talent
Wonderful! So different from anything in my neck of the woods.
Verde Valley is very inviting. Where's my backpack?
Great shots. I've heard that Jerome is a neat place to visit.
What a great way to show off our 'towns' this subject has been - two super shots that seem to sum up Arizona. (I love one web description of Jerome - "Population 400 - including cats and dogs".)
You're making me yearn for a road trip in AZ. It's been a few years. Jerome is the coolest town.
Not sure I would want to back pack like Gordon, but a dune buggy would suit me fine! Great shots!
